Default Lowering Front Only ????

Question for you guys. The only problem I have on my car for me is the front tire gap. I have a 92 SC300 (80,000 original miles) with all stock suspension with 18's. The front wheel gap is horrible. See pic. I'm in the process of finishing my stereo install so the back of the car is going to drop some from the weight of everything out back. I'd like to just lower the front of my car. I've been looking at the Tanabe springs since I really don't want that drastic of a drop just about an inch in the front. It seems one of my struts is broken up front too so I'm going to replace all the struts and shock. This is what I want to do.

Tanabe springs up front with new factory struts as I like how the car rides.
Replace rear shocks with new factory shocks.

Anybody else have a suggestion or think this is a dumb idea???

Thanks,

Shane

unless by new you mean your going to find used ones, it will probably be as cheap or cheaper to buy an aftermarket suspension thats adjustable.

I used Tokico struts and love them. I also replaced my strut mounts as well. You can get them from Advanced Auto Parts or Oreilys. They are special order, but they should be able to get them. I dont think its a dumb idea to lower the front. I was thinking of doing the same. Post a pix of the stereo install!

i think it will be ridiculous. lower the whole thing or just leave it. for sure its gonna look like something is wrong with the car... there will be too much gap

Just get all four tanabe springs. Its a pretty comfortable ride and a pretty good drop without going too low.
