Exclamation Brakes Maintenance

Well first of all, does anyone know how to change the brake pads on an IS300 both front and back? Is the procedure the same as it would be in any type of car? Take the locking pin out extract the brake pads and replace it? reinsert the locking pin? I have never change the brake pads on this type of car myself. Because just like everything else on this car, it is a whole lot more complicated as apposed to a Ford Escort. My E-brake can't hold the weight of the car no more, because some idiot who borrowed my car ran around the whole day with it on. I definately need to change that. Now when i change the E brake, do i need to do something to tighten it back up? it takes the E brake up to a 45 degree angle for it to hold the car. any tips?

Another question. How can you tell if your rotors are ready to be replaced? is there a thickness limit? and if it doesnt, do i have to re-surface the rotors after every brake change?

Any helpful hints or tips will be appreciated.

Thanks,
