Opinions need on Ebay drilled and slotted brakes!!!
So after putting about 50k miles on my GS its time to do the brakes... I found these drilled and slotted rotors on Ebay that also come with Axxis brake pads... My question is should I trust it? I don't have much knowledge when it comes to upgraded brakes, all I know is how to replace them... They say the price is $250 with free shipping for all 4 rotors and front and rear pads... If anyone knows what I should do please let me know... By the way I am only looking to replace the original brakes, I'm not looking to go bigger or upgrade calipers or anything like that (at least not right now)

Carson Toyota is our forum sponsor, check their website out...L-tuneparts.com. I found they have Brembo rotors for $270. I would go with brembo anytime...do some research before making decision on purchase those from ebay.

Lots of feedback on these and similar (if you look at the pics they say 88-rotors on the boxes) if you care to search... here are just a few of them... you can used advanced search to point at the GS forum and put in 'ebay rotors' for example.

heres the deal with these rotors ive been running them for a year now front and rear with no problems at all. but i will say this about the axis pad i would not run these pads unless you like cleaning you wheels all the time .reason is they are a softer pad and will put out alot of brake dust. i bought the same combo on ebay, love the rotors hated the pads. after a month of having them i took them off and replaced them with a real good ceramic pad front and rear. they dont dust up or make any noise at all. check out this web sit.............www.r1concepts.com
it probly the same co you see on ebay!!

I've been running that 88rotors setup for about 10,000 miles with no real problems and still running the pads they sent me. I notice some clicking noises on occasion in certain temperature ranges, but nothing too annoying. The noise could be fixed with a shim kit I believe.
BTW, if you want performance these really wont do a whole lot, just for show really..

I went with Brembo blanks and genuine pads. Everything is nice and quiet here. Got the pads and rotors together for $308 F/R from Forign Car parts in Old Saybrook, CT. Keep in mind alot of the rotors and pads are interchangeable though carrying different part numbers.
