So, I've kinda searched and came up with nothing really.
I have some stock supra suspension laying around. Problem is, I don't have the top hats for them. I know they're not really easy/cheap to come by also. Do you guys know if the SC300/400 whatever, top hats will work on the MKIV Supra setup? I'm just debating this as an option because I am kinda trying to make something work right now as a band aid solution to a blown shock I have and making use of the stuff I do have and keeping it cost effective until I decide to get rid of the car or get full coilovers. Thanks for any input anyone may have.
Unfortunately it won't work. Look at the diameter of the springs at the top on the sc300/sc400. It's much larger than the supra spring diameter.
I see how that could be a bummer. Why buy new top mounts from Toyota when you could put that money toward coilovers. The only cheap way I see out of it is finding a used set, but good luck like you said they're not a dime a dozen.
Yes the stock sc300/400 top hats will work with supra springs/shocks. On my previous setup, I used my stock 93 sc300 hardware when I mounted supra swift springs and bilsteins.
