Default Brake failure

I have a 95 sc400 last week I was driving in a heavy rain water was covering the road. About half way home the breaks felt iike there was no power brakes. I thought they were wet and would be fine when they dried out. They did not. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what was wrong?

Water in the master cylinder? Or maybe the brake booster took in water. Have you checked?

Is it sinking to the floor? have you inspected the calipers and lines? There may be a few variables here. I'd try first to search for leaks, then try to bleed the brakes, and the traction control system. If all else is good, then maybe the Master brake cylinder may have gone, but that would be the last resort. .

Default Booster

Turns out the booster has a blown diaphragm. There is one bolt that is behind several computer boxes. Does anyone have or know where to find a illustration on how that stuff comes apart?

I don’t recall the details but I have taken one out in a couple of cars and don’t remember it being horrible to get to. Wish I could help with the details but it’s not a huge job I do know that.
