Can you feel any difference with the bottom brace?

blk250 May 12, 2008 11:21 PM

I feel the difference when getting on/off ramp with a bit acceleration.

trinityhk May 12, 2008 11:43 PM

you feel a difference in stiffness when you accelerate? Im confused. Do you mean less body roll when turning on the ramp?

nice stuff you got there.. post more pics when the sun is up:D

I still don't get how people are feeling a difference with just the chassis brace. Sway's and shock/spring combo yeah but brace??? I still don't know... Maybe unless you do a lot of hard driving frequently enough to flex the stock chassis I can see that being useful but not with daily driving.

You shoulda gone with the springs and sways combo instead for a real difference.

Yup. Braces will make a different. Tom's 6-link makes the ride stiffer in the back. Makes ride bumpier. Tom's lower front brace improved the steering. Body roll as at minimal. They made a difference for me.

Yah, I drive a bit fast going on/off ramp, I used to hear the beeping sound and see the VCS light blinking. After the installation, I ran couple times without hearing the beep sound and seeing the VCS light...Like the car is more sticking to the ramp. I don't know...just wanna to have a little bit fun with the car.. that is all :) You got to drive the car to feel the difference.
I was just following RTIS250 setup... he is the MASTER TECH. :)
I was going for the rear sway bar next.. but still haven't decided yet...

How does it improve the steering? I might look into a front bar. I don't care about the rear though I already have the sways that's good enough. I don't want it bumpier.

Nice! I love my brace so far. Im thinking about going with the sway bar set and the F-Sport intake in the near future. Im doing a few customer installs this week, so ill see how they like them :)

ba-b4 May 13, 2008 02:55 PM

how heavy is the brace?

blk250 May 13, 2008 03:19 PM

about 15lbs

^hmm not too bad thx

looks good....i drove the fully loaded F-sport 250 & 350 at the last lexus event in IL. I wish I could have used my car to compare the difference. compare them against what I have done to my car.
