Hmmm, Cutting bump stops for Tanabe DF210s?
Something I overlooked for a while:
Was I supposed to cut the bump stops when I installed the Tanabe DF210s? If so, how much? I wonder if that's the reason why my front is a little higher than I like.

I just installed DF210's and throught the same thing. push down on the front of your car and it should go down quite a bit, which means you aren't sitting on the bump stops. If the front doesn't budge, you probably are sitting on the bump stops but, I don't see how you would be since mine has a good 1" or so of drop before I can feel the bump stop hit.

when i swapped out my OEM for bilstein shocks and eibach springs, i forgot to cut the bump stops and even a one inch change in the road would feel very harsh. after i swapped them out for my tein, another CL member bought my bilstein/eibach setup and the bump stops were cut prior to install.
that fixed the problem!
good luck

I need this answered too. I'm going to be changing to l-tuned/espelir in the next couple of weeks. What is the advantage of cutting the bump stop as to not doing so? Also, is the top or bottom of the bump stop cut? LOL

you'll want to cut the bump stops because you need to give your shocks a little more room to compress since you're shortening the length of travel by putting in a shorter spring.
if you don't cut them, you'll be bottoming out more than you should and of course ride quality will suck.

Yeah I'm on OEM struts. The ride is fine everywhere I go, except on this one patch of freeway that I always go on during my daily commute. The patch of freeway has a series of bumps, which causes cars to bounce.
