Default HELp... HELp.... (aka help me with suspension lowering choices)

Guys,
My first mod is going to be lowering my car but I am confused about few things, and not sure which way to go. I have a 2000 GS300 with 18" Donz Colombos (245/45) tires.

I think I am looking for a 1.5-2.0 drop in front and about 1.3-1.5 in back, but without losing a comfortable ride.

So what do you all suggest? just spring or spring and shocks, and which company?

Please help...

All help would be greatlty appriciated.
here is one choice...other choice is Dr.VIp selling his stock setup,

Your first choice, the Tanabe's will be fully adjustable front and back to whatever height you want. That way you can set the car to EXACTLY how you want it to sit. The springs and shocks on the Tanabe are designed to work together as are the L-Tuned setup. L-Tuned is going to give you a softer more factory like ride, the Tanabe will be a firmer more harsh ride. If you want a mix of both, full adjust adjustability and a semi soft firm ride check out the Tein CS, they are a little more money but will give you the best of both worlds. Thats what I have on my personal car.

Coilovers are the way to go and the Tanabe you mention are a not as expensive as others, which is a good thing because after a new shock, spring combo you will only be spending a few extra dollars for coilovers.

do it right and get coilovers. if you get s/s combo, there's a high rate you'll want coilovers after. + it's pretty easy to adjust the height on these; i did it yesterday (and if my skinny butt can do it, anyone can)

Default K-Sport Kontrol Pro Damper System vs Tein Comfort Sport Coilovers

Guys,
Here is my two choices for coilovers. I have heard a lot about the Tein CS so I know they must be good. I was speaking with a sales rep from online store and he suggested K-Sport which is about $600.00 less then Tein CS.

Not really sure what is the difference. Again, I am just looking for lowered look and comfortable ride.

Thanks
Neil

K-sports are stiff from what I hear. So I don't think you'll find that comfortable ride with these.

you're concerned with comfort = tein CS. it's that simple.
i had them, they're almost like stock ride + you can adjust the damper.

Default Thanks Everyone

Ok,
I think I have decided to go with Tein CS, now I just got to look out for a good deal. I thought I had it but today when I went to check it again, the price had gone up. Contacted the site but they claim they didnt change the price.. I guess I must be seeing things.

Anyways,
Thanks everyone for helping me with this. One last question thought, there has been a lots of talk about camber kit? Has anyone found one for GS300How many tires will I going throught in one year? I have 18"(245/45).
