Angry What's the deal with DAIZEN???

I wasted a bunch of time calling all of the SUPPOSED DAIZEN DEALERS yesterday. Only Darryl at Sewell Lexus and TMI are distributors for them. The other 9 or so dealerships said they dropped Daizen over a year or two ago and asked to be removed from the list. I asked why they dropped them, and all of them gave the same answer: EXCELLENT PRODUCT, but never knew when they would receive more, no follow up when orders placed, etc, etc.. Yesterday, I placed an order for both front and rear control arm bushings from Sewell Lexus online. Darryl was great. He called me back later that afternoon to tell me the bad news. Their website had not been updated and they were completely out of both sets of bushings as well as the steering rack bushings. I of course asked when they would be in, and poor Darryl was honest and said that he had no idea. He canceled my order and put me on a list, for if and when, they ever get the bushings back in stock. I appreciate the way Darryl does business--so props to him.. But what gives with Daizen. How do you contact them, I have tried 3 different times e-mailing them without a single response. Has anyone else had a similar experience with Daizen. I am NOT slamming the product in any form or fashion. Hell, I jut want to get my hands on a complete front & rear lower control arm set as well as the steering bushings.

I just ordered a set of Daizen Steering Rack bushings for my 2nd gen GS from Sewell, to take advantage of the 15% discount. I ordered based on the info on their website that they were in stock. Im hoping this won't be dejavu, since the first time i tried to order these, i just ended up cancelling since i waited like 2 months for them to be in stock. =(

Gonna give Sewell a call right now, hopefully it'll be good news.

I hope you have better luck than I did. I am bothered because I spent hours locating a mechanic that would do this job at a fair an reasonable price. Oh well.

I guess im lucky...Regan Alexander @ Sewell just replied back and said its been shipped via FEDEX. =)

Btw, how much is labour normally for these steering rack bushings? A local mechanic quoted me $350 labour for the complete Daizen Control Arm bushings which is pretty good compared to some of the SoCal guys who were telling me close to $900 labour.

The owner and founder of Daizen died about a year and a half ago:

My understanding is that they're still in business and making products, but suspect some of the communications stuff is on autopilot.
