Default Alignment Issues

Has anyone had tire wear issuse, like uneven wearing? My 06' Is250 has worn the inside of both front tires and the dealer is telling me this is normal for these cars. I have 27k miles on them. I think I have an alignement issue.
The inside of the pasenger tire wore all the way down to the steel belts but not evenly, it has 3 two inch long paches that wore to the belts.

Just wondering so I know if this is going to be the norm for tire wear.

27k miles?

The 18" tires for the 2IS is estimated to last about 20k miles...

That's normal wear and tear for the car, especially since you can't rotate staggerred wheels. Time to get them changed. If you want more longetivity, get touring tires instead of sport tires.

Ummm. No. I had 34k on my fronts and they were still doing well. No inside edge wear at all. This is an alignment problem, it should not happen this way.

Mine lasted 24k. Some people's lasted less than 20k.

I guess it really depends on driving style and road conditions. You're lucky if you've lasted more than 30k. Tread life is not really set in stone, just like brake pad life and such. It depends on multiple variables.

Your use of past tense implies that you don't have your 2IS anymore. did you sell it?

To the OP, 27K is pretty good for the OEM 18's, but the inside tire wear is definitely an alignment issue. I've never gotten more than 12K out of any tires on my IS350, but we have VERY abrassive (grippy) concrete roads.

Thanks for your input guys I'll be sure to have it aligned when I get the new tires. Hey do you guys know anyone selling a fresh set of take off's? I like the new graphite color wheels.

Still have the IS, just don't have those tires anymore.

I had the same issue on my two fronts.its an easy alignment fixture. I had my two front Dunlop stocks for 43,000 miles on my 250.but I wore out my two fronts until there was nothing left haha
