Default Lexus wants to deny my Brake TSB recall claim!

Yup, they state not all IS 350's have the recall. I think this is BS.

My brakes sound like they are about to fall off! From metal grinding, to clunking, every imaginable noise a brake can make, my does!

I have about 30k miles on my car now and I do not drive hard.

What should I do?

The TSIB for the front brakes is for excessive brake dust, not to fix issues you're experiencing... however they should still check it out at least at let you know what the issue is.

Needless to say the brake dust is excessive. Day and night difference from front to rear.

Print out the TSIB and bring a copy with you. Tell them you want your pads replaced under warranty for the excessive brake dust, just like the TSIB requires them to do. This may be no help at all if your rotors are already hosed though as they're only required to replace the pads for free.

take it up with corporate if you print out the TSIB and it doesn't work for you at the dealer...

don't mention to them about the noises. just print out the tsb for the excessive brake dust and go in and tell them you don't like the excessive brake dust and show them the tsb. and hope that by changing the pads, the noises will be gone too...

It sounds to me like your issue is entirely different. With 30k miles on it now, if the brake dust were truly an issue, you would have had it done earlier. Stop trying to get handouts and pay to have a brake job.

Yep, and after they say cant do it because your pads are worn... Just mention you'll be calling corporate because no where in the TSIB does it mention a point in which wear dictates replacement. Be nice too.

The brakes had excessive dust from the beginning, I just never cared enough to take it in for something so simple as cleaning the brakes.

The brakes also made noise at 8k, again that is not worth taking time out of my day to take the car in. Now at this point it is extremely loud and unbearable, so I am forced to take it in.

I don't mind paying for a brake job, but I also don't think its normal for brakes to go out at 25k either, especially when I don't drive much. If the issue was excessive wear from the beginning, why not get the TSB done? I'd be stupid not to.

If I could get 25K miles out of my brakes I would be very HAPPY!
