Default Electronic Damping Control

So there are 3 company's to choose from and I know basically nothing about all of them. I just got my SC and I am putting together a list of mods. I must have Electronic Damping Control, not just because its cool but its my goal to take the turns with the best of them one moment and the next to be able to pick up a date and not have her ask why the ride is so bouncy/harsh.

So...
Cusco Electronic Damping Controller $459
http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/pric...on_Accessories
Cusco Supra Zero 2E Coilovers $1,846
http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/pric...s/part/Zero_2E
Total: $2305

Tanabe TEAS Control Unit $597 (these are pretty cool they adjust automatically based on speed.)
http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/pric...on_Accessories
Tanabe Supra Sustec Pro Five Coilovers $1,290
http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/pric...ustec_Pro_Five
Total: $1,887

Tein EDFC Kit $379
http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/pric.../part/EDFC_Kit
Tein Supra FLEX Coilovers $1,559 (A lot of people say these are crap coilovers)
http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/pric...vers/part/FLEX
OR
Tein Supra Super Street Type SS Coilovers $1,000
http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/pric...Street_Type_SS
Total: $1,938 or $1379

I am really looking for bang for the buck here. I also know that that I can find most of the stuff I listed for cheaper but this just gives some ball park prices.

PS I can deal with a harsh ride but not a bouncy ride. Looking to avoid both. Also I don't want a large drop maybe 1 to 1.5

Thanks.

i would go with stance

after you figure out your suspension setting for street and "track" its easy to turn the **** to adjust the damping. you dont need the "EDC" its a waste of money. just extra bling to put in your car and extra stuff that may malfunction.

what other suspension mods do you have to complement an expensive set of coilovers and a useless controller? if you just have a set of coilover it will help but a controller will only contribute marginally to your gaol of "taking the turns with the best of them" and it definitely wont help in picking up the ladies. lol.

if she asks why the ride is so bumpy tell her its just a warm up for the night to come

I have tein flex with edfc on all my cars and past cars, i also tried some hks ones (bouncy) and some cuzcos (even more bouncy) but i went with flex because they never really let me down. I use to track race a integra and mr2, drag a civic hatch, also a rx7, with all teins and i havent had them brake/leak or anything on me... if you are really worried about comfort go with something thats made straight for comfort not performance.. Flex is spou to be the middle of each side..

If your on a budget i heard good things about Megan Coilovers... crappy name but 900 bucks they were pretty decent in some of my friends cars.

EDFC its just for the BLING... i have it because it saves me time to adjust my coilovers on the track.. instead of driving a lap.. getting out... turn the ****.. get IN .. and run another lap.. repeat ... in street driving.. i have 3 settings

2,4 for aggressive
10,12 for streets
16,16 for highway

the Tanabe look interesting. I remember a clublexus forum member talking about these coilovers being development. Does anyone know how they perform on street cars?

I don't think the Tein SS is compatible with EDFC so that may narrow down your choices.

the only time i adjust my coilovers are when im at teh track or touge.... i have 2 settings and it takes me 5 mins to change all 4 thats lagging.... save teh money for power mods man but if u must get one. 1 for stance or use the money u saved and take ur gf out i bet she wont even notice the bumpy ride if u spend $1000 on a ring
