Default Caliper and Ball Joint Question - LS/GS4

Hey everyone I have a question regarding the use of the LS400 calipers. I have a pair of LS400 calipers that I'm going to keep and try to install them.

I'm well aware of the clearance issue with the tie rod end bolt. My car is lowered already so I don't want to lower it anymore. If I were to use the RCA's the front of the car will lower the same height of the RCA's. Also I'm not griding down the bolt jusst for clearance of the calipers either. Those of you that know me know I REALLY drive my car. It's just not for show; I'm on the track and all.

I was told that I could use the LS400 (95-00) ball joints and that would solve the problem.

Okay first question; will the LS400 (95-00) ball joints fit on a 2001 GS430?

Second question, will this solution clear the bolt?

Last question, has everyone tried this solution and how is it working out; any pics?

Thanks everyone for your input.

Are you sure by shaving the bolt would jeopardize the strength or integrity of the bolt? What would I shave it down with?

As long as you're cutting the thread above the nut you should be fine. The nut has all the thread it needs already. I would do a search for RMMGS4's post. He posted a picture of the shaven bolt for someone else' car a long time ago. I remember seeing the picture a few days ago.

Lexism.........I talked with my mechanic and I would stay away from shaving that bolt the way you like to drive your car!!!! You should sell your ls calipers and get some supra's! Just installed mine! Freakin' sweet! I can give the pass. whiplash if they aren't ready for me to hit the brakes! Real simple bolt on too. I just had to cut a small part of the heat shield off. I also highly reccomend you get some ss brake lines with either caliper! I can look for some more Supras if you like. Still love my deal of $50 each.....best money I've spent on my car so far!!!!
