If you're doing normal driving then you already have some of the best brakes in the business and there's no need to change. Now if you have an open face rim and want to change it up for cosmetic reasons, then by all means, close the gap and upgrade, it makes a world of difference.

lol, that's normal driving. There's no 'need' for you to change your brakes just because you're going to 20's. But cosmetically, if it's an open face rim, then the bigger calipers/rotors make a big difference in setting off the rim.

I'm on 20's and stock brakes and they still do the job. However, I have been wanting to upgrade to better pads and/or ss brake lines. I had new pads put on about 6 months ago but I think they used cheaper pads or something because they don't stop as good as they used to with the previous pads. Either way, your good with the stock brakes .

I would highly advise at least a mild drop. Otherwise, you'll be looking like a monster truck. I have the l-tuned combo and plan on putting on 20's.

Exclamation

Even though Lexus has great stock brakes you should consider a brake upgrade whenever you go up in wheel size..When you go from a 16 or 17" wheel and you jump up to 20's your stock brakes wont as reliable as they are designed to work with the stock wheels..Now will the stock brakes work?Yes, they will but bigger brakes would be better, IMO..
