Default Alignment Specs after Eibach springs on IS350 Sport Suspension

Almost 1 month after I installed the springs I decided to go have the alignment checked. Everything looks pretty good and I shouldn't see any noticable wear in the tires. The rear is within specs and the front is just slightly out of spec on camber. No biggie. The only thing that puzzled me is how the Toe was out of spec on the front right before the alignment today.

James, it's a shame they didn't set your toe closer to 0 for better handling.

I'd never feel the difference where I live (stop and go driving) and I don't plan on hitting any type of track other than the drag strip in the near future. My biggest concern was tire wear when I took the car in for the alignment. Speaking of racing, Sunday is a big day at the drag strip for the Imports vs Domestics battle and oh the sexy costume contest is always a hit. With the predicted weather for Sunday I am predicting a sub 13.2x run. I really don't want to lose this year to those RSX's and Type R's. I'm pretty confident that the M3's won't get me. Crazy how I'm more worried about 4cyl Hondas than E46 M3's at the drag strip.

You would want as close to 0 toe on the front and especially the rear for drag racing. Toe in the rear means that the force vectors for the rear tires are fighting each other. Think about how much more effort it would be to push a grocery cart that has wheels that won't line up...

The torque question isn't a "simple question." That's why I posted the diagram. There are a number of points to torque, not just one like a wheel, and describing them with words would ensure you'd tighten the wrong things, break stuff, and complain about CL giving bad information. I've seen it before on other sites.

It's $10 for a one day subscription to ALL the tech information about your $30k car. You can download it and save it. Decide if it's worth it.

Also, I don't like your commentary. You got what you asked for and you're still complaining. The diagrams have been removed. Don't expect any free tech info in the future.

Damn and I just thought to look up this thread today to take a look at the diagram... haha

How much does the alignment really help on these cars though since you cant do anything about camber? How much was the toe off before the alignment? I just cant see it helping that much compared to cars with adjusted camber, toe, caster...
