Cool Attn Lex Owners... Cheapest Supra Brakes New!!!

Surfing online last week, found out you can order refurbished/rebuilt Supra TT Brake Calipers at CHECKER auto parts online store for $115.00ea!!!!!!! I think the rears are $135 go figure. These brakes go for $800 as a front pair!!!

I would put some 14" Procast Brakeman rotors with a 14" caliper kit put those calipers on all 4 wheels with a brake porportioning valve to make a Supercar setup for under $1000.00!!!

$80 sounds good to me. And, do you just use the supra tt rotors?

Yup. Just make sure your rims will clear the calipers. You'll need "high disk" fitment.

Default Caliper hanger?

I am looking for the caliper hanger for the Supra caliper to mount to a 14" rotor. Anyone know where you can buy just the hanger?

okay well i wanted to do this to my GS so i think im gonna go this way instead of going through www.ltunedparts.com, because theres in 899 for a kit

So....
since i dont have checkers here, i guess there sister company is Kragen in california

i order the left and right supra Turbo calipers
then order SS lines, but what brand
pads, EBC??
how about a shim kit that i hear is needed
how about mounting hardware, ie, bolts, dust guards, etc...
i dont even know where to start looking to get these

Hey I have some brand spankin new Project Mu brake pads for the TT calipers if you're interested. I was planning on getting TT calipers, but I got a FAT hook up on some LS calipers and decided to go that route. Let me know. You can email me at drft_n_sc@tmail.com

Thanks

Well from what I understand, the TT is a superior setup, but not by much. I think the TT is slightly larger. However the LS is lighter and cheaper. I was impressed with the weight of the LS in comparison to my stock SC calipers, HUGE DIFFERENCE. I just order my rotors and I'm polishing my calipers, so it will be a few days before I slap them on the car. As far as compatability, both will fit the SC, the LS will need washers or shorter bolts, and I think the TT will bolt right up. You will have to remove the dust guard for either set. And you will also need a set of wheels that will clear the bigger calipers.
