i dont know if the upper ones do go bad or not. you have to buy the whole arm if you want replacement and the upper arms arent cheap. i have the daizen bushing kit that i need to get installed. its your preference if you want to spend 100 bucks on the bushings and anywhere between 300-600 bucks for the install. also you might want to get tie rods also when changing out your lower ball joints.

First off Welcome to CL.. Is the sound in the front or rear.. IT could be balljoints, bushings, or brakes.. With 92k on the car that means all the rubber has 92k on them and there problably worn..

Try to search because a lot of us have had the same issues and this dates back all way to 2001 with this issue.. GL..

If it is in the rear, then it is not the ball joints. If the clicking noise from the rear brakes is just one or two clicks when you accelerate after braking, it could be just the pads shifting. In terms of the front, as tmf2004 said, with that many miles, the rubber components in your suspension will have some serious wear.
