Question Suspension Housing

I saw on QBranchCars, there was not any black plastic housing on the strut. The stock setup has a plastic house to protect the dust from the moving part of the suspension!

When you mod the car with different spring/shock, do you still need to use the plastic housing?

Thanks

Nope you don't use the plastic housing, the plastic housing is part of the stock strut. Most companies have a boot that goes over part of the strut. What you saw on Qbranch's car was the front strut of the Tein HA's. It doesn't really matter.

I have Bilstein Sport Shock and Eibach Pro Spring. They don't come with any housing... So I reused all the stock housing... Is the housing necessary?? Does anyone know???
