Default 1992 SC300 vibration while braking

When I apply the brake, I feel a shudder from the front end and vibration in my brake pedal. I feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel, but not so much as I have in other cars I've driven with warped rotors. The shudder/vibration is more prominent at highway speeds. Also, it seems to happen more with light/moderate braking rather than heavy braking.

The car just got new front and rear pads/rotors; they dont have more than 200 miles on them. I dont know if the mechanic bedded them properrly but I did it anyway. I did a few 50mph to 10mph runs with moderate braking to re-bed them.

Could it be something with my control arms? Its not possible for the rotors to be warped arleady? I know this was a common problem on the BMW e46 I used to have.

I've tried a search but am still confused. Thanks in advance!

EDIT:: To speak of the age of the suspension components, the car has 192k

calipers won't cause shudder like that...

warped rotors will...

they either got warped rotors (yes, we've gotten brand new rotors that were not true out of the box), or they didn't resurface them properly...

can it be due to bad bushings/lower control arms/ball joints?

I'll have my mech look into it probably this weekend

it *can*

but...

as I ask all my customers

what was the last thing that you did that could have affected this issue...

you said you just had the brakes done

knowing that rotors may not be perfect, even new, then I always assume that that would be the issue, at least a starting point...

I don't know. Are there any posts here mentioning that?

*Hint, hint, post #2!*

I apologize I meant it as a question to the others who said it was warped rotors/ calipers and not the bushings.

Thanks for yours and everyone's else help! My mechanic will be looking into everything everyone including yourself has mentioned.

192,000 miles ...

I agree with post #2

May consider a look at the steering rack bushings and engine/transmission mounts while it is raised on the rack.

Then there are the rear suspension bushings to additionally consider for wear.
