Default Upper mount for SC300

I have recently installed a trd stb and now I have run into a bit of a problem. Installation was a piece of cake as of any other stb, but the mounting studs are a bit short. I think it would be fine for now, but I would like to replace the upper mounts with something that has studs that are slightly longer. I have Tein S.S. coilovers right now, but they do not come with upper mounts. Could I use oem mounts for the supra, or would I have to purchase upper mounts from hks or companies alike. And are there any other companies that would sell those upper mounts for SC's.

Should you remove the original black plate shown under the STB in the picture? That would give you a longer thread to mount on.

looks like he's using spacers in order to clear the intake manifold, so he cant take away the black plate. he wouldnt have enough height without it

300 or 400? if it's a 400, i managed to fit mines with only another one of those full black spacers and removed the emblem.

It is a 300. And yes I could take off the black plate but as stated by Xevuhtess7 I need it for clearance as well. I am unsure whether or not I could just use the same mounts, but replace the factory studs with longer ones. Has anyone every tried that and if so how did it turn out. I really don't want to purchase the hks ones, but if I have to then so be it.
