Tanabe Air Cobra Hybrid Coilover Suspension
So I stopped by Tanabe to say hi to Mike and Reggie and lookie what I saw! Unfortunately not sold in US yet.

Officially we have not tested the suspension on the US spec vehicles, but we occasionally get some requests for this little known hybrid air+coilover kit. We had not intended to bring in this suspension, but if the demand is large enough, we will of course do the proper R&D!
In Japan we have produced them for the UCF10, UCF20 and JZS161

The concept of the Air Cobra suspension is to be able to raise and lower the vehicle using an air suspension system, but retain the function and driveability of a typical coil-over-strut setup.
The Air Cobra kit comes with its own compressor and hardware, and also has a wireless remote to raise and lower the vehicle if you are outside of it.

I've seen that system in a few Japanese mags, but keep forgettting to ask Reggie about it. It's probably best that I keep forgetting though... since I can't use it anyway.

would the Japanese-Spec kit fit the US model fine (jzs161) and would there be any way to special order it from japan, or do we have to wait for the testing on US spec cars first?
