Default CRAZZZY SHAKE While BRAKING

Yes yes, I know this is an old issue, bUt my gs3 '01 is still being stubburn about the shaking while braking story..
Here is what I have done:
- Changed Tires
- Balanced with GSP9700 machine "Twice"
- Changed my struts
A tech told me (third party) there is a leakage from my lower ball joint. Does anyone know how much this cost (Any hook ups in NYC area)?? Or should I just buy the Daizen Bushing Kit (does it come with the ball joint)?? COULD this be the issue of the shaking??

Does anyone know where I can "shave" my rotors also.. I have 88rotor cross drilled slotted rotors.. (NYC Area)?

Thank all for help.. Sorry I am not a certified LEXIE yet.. Soon though with all your help.

It's likely your brake rotors. As you say, you need to get 'em turned or get new ones.

ball joint's usually cause a clunking sound when bad, not a shake while braking(although if the boots teared, it needs to be replaced regardless) But if the wheels shaking while your hitting the brakes, your rotors are most likely warped and need to be replaced.

I was told by basil head mechanic at t-lex that on most lexus's the calipers go bad and cause the car to shake. well atleast on my car. i changed the rotors and it didn't help and then i changed the caliper and now there is no shaking/vibration at all...Does your car vibration/shake at 52-60 mph?

I just had the same problem on my 01 430...shaken wild at higway speeds while braking....I changed / replaced the lower ball joints (both sides), tie rods (both Sides), rotors (all 4), and upgraded to ceramic pads. and come to find out the problem was that one of the bolts on the caliper bracket was frozen in the sleeve, I had to take the bracket to a machine shop to have them take out the bolt and re-grease and install a new bolt, after I reinstalled the brakes I had no shaking at all.....it seems the bolt being stuck in one position pushed the caliper out of alignment and caused the wheels to shake when braking

I will say this ..If you drive "aggressive" you will warp rotors quicker

i have a somewhat similar situation, my gs4 was vibrating badly with braking, i've changed all 4 rotors and put on new pads and it's still vibrating. the calipers *seem* to be working properly with no sticking.

I'm a little surprised that no one mentioned the bushing thing.

I think that generally speaking, that vibration is *usually* the brake rotors. Easy to check, easy to fix. There are a few other things that cause it as well, like what has been mentioned above.

For me and a few others I're read on this board, that vibrating feeling you feel so much in the steering wheel turned out to be the bushings. Yes, this was during Braking, even though we had a lesser vibration when at the dreaded 50-70mph speed.
I know that on my car, I found that when I was braking at normal pressure, the vibration was there, but when I went with more aggressive braking, the vibration practically went away. We're not talking squealing tires or anti-lock, just more than most "non car-guy" types would use when braking and enough to make people in the car say "what are you doing?".

I had the same problem. Mine was bad to the point where when I would brake it would be hard to keep the car traveling straight under braking arounde 20 mph lower. I was in need of tires so I replaced all four, still shaked. Had the alingment done and wheels re balanced, still shaked. Finally I took it to Lexus and they told me I need new rotors. So I went to a local brake shop that one of my friends recomended and had the all 4 rotors re surfaced and new brake pads. No more shaking at all It's your rotors bud
