By the way how do you contact Steve / Carson Toyota. I checked the site, and do you contact Steve first and then order from him or just order off the site? Any advantage?

Question what happened to the how to site?

does anyone know what happened to the how to site that was posted earlier? i saved the link to my favorites a while ago because i wanted to wait to install my steering ecu, but now the site is gone. was the article just relocated? can someone please help? thanks.

Two thumbs off for STEVE!

talalhz, that's a pretty strong statement especially when I've never heard any negative feedback on dealings with STEVE. I myself have dealt with STEVE and great service is KING!

thanks for the info. do u know of any other place where i mite be able to look for a step by step install like the one sasha had posted?

No, sorry. I'm sure Sasha's site will be up again shortly. I could try to type in some instructions for you, but don't have time right now. PM if you need help. It's not hard.

Quick synopsis:

Remove low black trim below steering column/dash - center clip isn't visible, must be 'popped' out.

Remove ignition key shroud (ring comes off, then shroud from the bottom)

Remove bolts either side enough to bring down lower dash panel.

Replace ECU in dash on left side (look up from below).

Reverse to close it back up.
