Default just about to replace the speed sensor on my GS and had a ?????

finally i have the time and money to fix the problem that happened several years ago when my balljoint seperated and sent my wheel into the wheel well, just like everybody else's story...it was scary, but yet happened on the street at a very low speed.......Well, my question is, the part i remember on the thread I read before that needed to be replaced is called the "speed sensor", which is what i bought...i only bought the drivers side since that was the only side that had the ball joint failure....Now, once I replace the sensor, will the three yellow abs and vsc lights go off or do I have to get them reset at the dealer???????..............thanks in advance....Paul...

I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't think you need to do anything.

Those lights come on when you turn the ignition to the On position - the computer does a self test and when it detects the faulty speed sensor, it illuminates those lights.

There shouldn't be any need to store that code in the ECU.

If that doesn't remove those lights, then try to disconnect the battery for a minute or so.

how was the replacement of your speed sensor?

Did this fix the issue you were having?

Any complications or regrets?

I'm just asking in case that is the remedy for the VSC kicking in after our recent spring & shock replacement.

I thought it was going to be needed to be reset by the dealership......WELL....I was wrong....the next day when i drove it for the first time leaving my house, It turned off.....WOW.......is all i got to say....Paul....
