You know when you drive and you hit small bumps or the lines in the road etc.. the steering wheel moves? Mine seems to move a lot. Could be because of the stock bushings?

If theres a lot of play where you wiggle a little the steering wheel and the tires dont move, id check for tie rods and the coupler on the steering shaft, but i beleive i recall when my rack and pinion bushings were shot i felt a looseness in the steering wheel as well, like i would have to turn like 45 degrees to either side before the car actually turned.... if you have a oil pan leak and exspecially power steering leak and it drips on the bushings it will swell up the bushings and deterioate. Id fix the leak before changing them.

Yes your stock bushings could be worn. The urethane ones may help. Also look into the front lca bushings if you haven't changed them out already.

LCA could be part of it. The problem was deal-able (if thats a word) with my stock wheels, but now that I have larger wheels (heavier) the problem is worse.

It could be time for LCA, Rack, and alignment!

I had the rack bushings replaced with Daizens almost a yr ago. Recently had my front lca's replaced with supra ones and got a good alignment. My previous off-center steering wheel is now center and my sloppy front-end is gone.

Thanks for this info, and the pics!

This is a 30-40 min job now that I know how to do it.

These bushings made a huge difference for me. Best money spent yet on the car.

My front driver side bushings were hammered, completely disintegrated.

I just got mine yesterday from TM engineering. I purchased them since february but I didnt get them. I thought because they were on backorder. So I emailed them and they said it fell out of their system. And I got them about a week after.

I installed them today. It actually took about 15-20 minutes. I spent another 15 minutes just to clean up the dirt and other crap under the car. I couldn't believe how easy it was once I took off the undercover.

Car feels great. Thanks for this guide. Now I want to do supra TT sway bars.

Recently did this mod too, but didn't notice any real change. Could be b/c my stock bushings looked like new when I removed them.
