Default Supra Brakes

I'm thinking about upgrading my brakes on my GS400. Has anyone tried the Supra Front Brakes and if so, how do they compare to stock? Thanks

It has been done by many with good results. You will need new wheels, though, as the TT calipers will not fit the stock GS wheels.

How about the balancing? Putting a monster brake up front while back is still stock...won't that throw off the car's braking direction, ABS, and possibly VSC?

I don't think so, I've driven a GS with AP Racing 14.2" 6-piston fronts and stock rears; the braking darn near put me thru the windshield but it felt very easy to control For the street, the stock rears with maybe different pads are more than adequate. I actually decided to go with Brake Pro rears with metalux pads from Stillen for the rears, and Supra 4-piston brakes thru Carson Toyota. Both rotors are cross-drilled.

What about the TT rears? Do they work too?

Rears will not work without a custom bracket. PM lexforlife for details. Think he was/did sell his rears.

I had thought that I read here that they fit under the 17" stock rims?

They will fit under a stock 17" GS wheel with wheel spacers. I believe its 15 or 20mm for the fronts.
