Default tein dust boot question

i have a tein coilover in my lap here ("is that a coilover in your lap, or are u just glad to see me?" ), and i notice that the dust boot is free-standing.

in another life i had cusco zero-2r's on another car, and the dust boots had a wire circlip to attach the bottom half of the boot to the shock body. i was told this kept the boot from riding up the shaft and get caught in the spring, which will lead to tearing.

is there such a thing for tein? is it even necessary?
