Default L-Tuned Shocks question

Sup Guys,

After reading 123098409 threads on this forum I decided to purchase the L-tuned springs and shocks set up. I'm not really into modding cars but i wanted a bit more control of my car. I will be installing the springs and shocks tomorrow and i am quite excited, but before i install these shocks i had one question. I purchased this set up from a guy on eBay and he says they are brand new and never been installed. They look pretty new to me, but the shocks do not have a L-Tuned tag on it nor did the box. Are the shocks suppose to say L-Tuned anywhere on the box or the shocks itself? The springs came in a L-Tuned box and is stamped L-tuned on it. Are the shocks suppose to be the same way or did i get hosed? Any feedback would be great.

Thanks

A few weeks back I purchased the set up from Sewell Lexus here in Dallas, the L Tuned shocks/struts... and I might go out in the garage and get started putting them on in a few... so I'll let you know how mine are marked.

I can't remember if the shocks are marked... but I am sure the springs are.

One thing to look for would be the flesh colored bump stops that come with the shocks... don't use these, use the originals... but if the shock box had these in them I would think they are genuine.

Enjoy, it is a really good setup for the money.

Exclamation

The shocks box is not marked nor are the shocks with L-Tuned except for the shocks having "Toyota" and some numbers on them.

Here is a pic of mine before install:

Ohh and I used the yellow l-tuned supplied bump rubbers and have no sound problems except when going up a major curve slowly you may hear it jump once or twice. Then again I have exchust which could cover up most of the noise.

The springs themselves are marked with "L-Tuned". As for my shocks??? All I know is that I still have the original box the shocks came in and the box has a white label with "L-Tuned" and the following number:
00644-48000-200

btw, I used the oem stops instead of the l-tune stops. No problems, no noise with oem stops

Thanks for all the replies. I installed my L-Tuned setup today. I used the stock bump stops as many of you suggested. The ride is much lower then i expected it to be and its only the first day. The mechanic told me to give it about 2 weeks and it is gonna drop another quarter of an inch. I'm not sure if that is true but that might be a lil to low for my preference.

After the installation i took my car for an hour drive and i've got to say that I love the L-Tuned setup. The ride is almost like stock and the handling is much much better. Best part is that there is no more boaty feeling. I'm not really one that is into modding cars but every GS owner should purchase these.

I'd like to thank IS0LD0UT for the great deal on these springs.
