depends on how many miles you have and if you hear a ckear knocking sound when you go over large bumps , and the sound would be more upper then lower

doubt you need them.. unless you hit pot holes and bumpy roads all the time..
just did my suspension yesterday... well worth the time spent installing..
what suspension are you installing?

Based on personal experience, I would recommend changing them. Shortly after installing my L-Tuned springs and Bilstein shocks the front end started making a horrible squeaking sound when going over dips, speed bumps, etc. After checking and re-checking everything we took the strut caps out and were able to make them squeak simply by holding them in a bench vise and moving the centers around. After putting new ones in (they were about $60ea if I recall) not one peep and the front end felt tighter.

I did my suspension today. L-tuned shocks with Tanabe Springs. Drop is perfect. No change in ride quality. I didn't change my strut mounts though. So i'll listen out for squeaks. Sputnik did you see my other post regarding where I had my work done???

I don't think so as the strutcaps sit at the top of strut assembly.
