Default Ls brakes on gs

Would the Lexus LS brakes fit on a gs-300? Is there any modification needed? Ps the brakes are of a 2004 LS.

Where can I get the brackets? I can get the front calipers with brake line, pads, disks and sensors for around 350. Is that a good deal?

You need more that just brackets... Also the calipers need to be machined.

It is much cheaper to get a set of Supra calipers or a set of LS400 (96 - 00).

sensor what sensor?

anyway, i am not sure about the price, but if you talk about the overall deal (with custom brackets etc... which i don't think anyone has so far), i think it's cheaper to get supra tt setup. or you can get the ls400 setup if you want. you just have to shave off one suspension bolt at the bottom

Henry ... the LS430 has brake pad sensors.
and you forgot that both Jon and me have the LS430 calipers on our cars

But you cannot just get brackets, you also need to machine the calipers.

it prolly warns the driver that the pads are getting low and needs replacing soon...yah, no such feature on the 2nd gen GS.

while some cars will warn drivers with dashboard lights (and brake pad sensors), our lowly GS will require us to listen carefully to the brake squeeks and/or check the pads manually ...

Btw ... often high performance pads do not come with brake sensors ... and i cut off the sensors from my set of pads

then there is no point in putting that "sensor" on anyway?

Well if you are very handy ... and can retrofit the LS sensor wiring harness and install a warning light inside ... Otherwise ... there won;t be a GS connector for the sensor ...
