Default Lifeline or life span of shocks

I bought the L tuned shocks and I got them cheap, do they last as long as the original ones? lexus said that shocks last 30K miles, does it last in terms of time or miles? and does it matter what kind of miles you put on it? I plan to put 30-40K miles on the car a year, and the people got those l tuned shocks cheap, should I but more of them. Also If they run out of l tuned shocks, can I buy other brands to use with the l tune springs? I had a 92 es300 dropped it 2" with BFG springs and put tokiko shocks on it and it road like hell, bounced everywhere (I guess the shocks have to be shorter when using shorter springs? I dont' want to ever ride like that again. Someone let me know.

I've had my L-tuned suspension on my 2002 GS since it was new and have about 28K on the car with no signs of change in ride or handling. Still very tight.
