Question finally got hold of Todd @ TMengineering...

well i stopped by his shop after school [like 30 seconds away] yesterday... and he said he could hook me up with an install on my l-tuned suspesion for 180 w/o alginment. he also said i could wait a month to align my wheels... is that correct? i think 180 is a pretty fair price... esp. at such a reputable place like TM. anyone know any good wheel alginment places that doesnt cost so much money? i dont even know how much wheel alignment costs so i dont know what prices to compare/contrast to? thanks guys---

I think a good alignment should run you in the range of $70-$100

180 bucks to install your Ltuned is a very very good price...I dont think you will find anywhere cheaper....unless you have your buddies do it for beer and pizza.

As for alignment...yah...it usually starts at 70 buck and up....depending if they charge a bit more for lowered cars.

Btw...tell Todd to check his CL pm box.

todd will refer you to torrance auto repair which is located about 4-5 miles from his place. they normally charge 100.00 but if you tell them todd referred you, it will be 80.00.

they have a 1 year guarantee on their alignments and they are good shop.

you want to let drive your car about a month to let the springs settle in so the alignment will be more true. the car will be a bit lower compared to when it's first installed.

good luck.

I'd say Todd is right in the ballpark, pricewise. Actually, $180 sounds cheap...
$70 spring install labor + $100 for an alignment = $170

Plus, Todd is a terrific guy and he is familiar with the Lexus cars.
I would not want my car to be the "learning curve" at a shop that normally does Civics.

You get what you pay for.

You might want to check out Luxury Motorworks in Monrovia. They have excellant service and they have a great lounge so that you can watch movies or watch your car being done. I have done been to any shop that was so clean and professional.

todd does this so fast (about an hour for all four side), you'll be amazed. no he doesn't cut corner, it's all experience. when i was there, he had about 5 GS suspensions in his garage. he mentioned he could swop out a suspension with his eyes closed

joe, we would like to see your before and after pics.

VERY True. unless you want to do it now and again in a month.

I didn't follow this advise and when through a pair of front tires in 5000 miles.
