but RCA works as a camber kit, because it pushes the lower control arm down and not raising the hub and knockle. it will fix your camber but installing the RCA + jacking the coil over back up.

im thinking i shouldn't be doing this bbk upgrade on my 99 GS300 until i get coilovers b/c i got bilstein sports/espelir springs combo right now...and if i go through with this install with RCA...wouldn't my stance be out of whack?

Yea... and that's the reason why the Supra brakes were tested the best stock brakes since 1993 until the new Porsche beat it

I just bumped this thread because I'm just starting to semi-mod the GS now. Hmm I didn't hear of the NA Supra guys using any RCA spacer. I guess I'll look into th at on the GS.

NA supra calipers are similar to most calipers on lexus, the "floating" design

supra TT calipers are half aluminum and half cast iron, while the LS calipers are all aluminum (i just mildly polished a spare set of LS calipers, sick!)

supra rotors are larger than LS rotors, plus curb weight on the supra TT is about 300-350# lighter than the LS400 (depending on model year 90-2000)

The holes of the caliper will line up (GS, Supra), but the front suspensions are different. The LS400 caliper will clear on the Supra, but will hit the suspension on the GS, that is why you need the rca.

the back half of the LS calipers are bigger than the TT calipers since the LS caliper is all aluminum and the TT calipers are aluminum front half, cast iron back half.

the caliper rear hits the tie rod bolt, some people just cut it down and others use a spacer (RCA) between the lower ball joint and steering knuckle.

i'll be cutting out a spacer on a waterjet for my friend's GS430 to fit a set of LS calipers i got and polished for him, our main concern is that his summer wheels will clear the calipers but his winter wheels will not.

Did you ever figure things out with the LS400 BBK?

I'm ready to upgrade the front brakes on my GS400 with the 17" L-tuned wheels and am trying to decide what is the best route. I already have the SS lines & the Axxis pads, but the rotors need help.

A) - new stock rotors
B) - new aftermarket rotors
C) - LS400 rotors & calipers
D) - Supra TT rotors & calipers

with 99% certainty I can say that your wheels will not have the spoke clearance for either the LS or supraTT front calipers.
