Just got my LS calipers back from the powder coaters and I have to say I'm very happy with the results. They look brand spanking new. Now I'm just waiting on my StopTech cross/slotted rotors, SS lines and FIGS RCA. Such a pain in the *** to take these apart and rebuild them

To have them powdercoated including glass bead blasting it was $180 for the set. I was just complaining about the rebuild just because its time consuming and one of the pistons was seized which was a real b*tch to get at.

you shold have sent them to me, i could have got them powder-coated from my local guy who does all my green stuff for under $100. i would bet it wouldn't haven't been that high either but maybe $75 but who knows. you should make a DIY tutorial for the LS and hell even the OEM rears. i was gonna make some awhile ago for the LS ones till i decided to sell them and get my stoptechs

how much was rear rebuild kit? and since you have it already, part #? i have a spare set i wouldnt mind getting powdercoated and rebuilding...

shortly im gonna do my RMM strut bar and SRT intake, just not in the normal green i use.....maybe orange this time like a pumpkin

JUST KIDDING IM NOT GONNA DO ORANGE

It's actually not that bad for here when you consider the bead blasting and masking. Everything in Canada is pretty costly compared to US. A lot of Canadians these days are mostly buying their stuff in the US because our dollar is currently par and even with the shipping most stuff we save about 30-40%. It really hurts the economy here but some stuff it just WAY cheaper down there. I can honestly say I've saved thousands by shopping in the US.

The rebuild kits I bought are aftermarket. The price of the OEM ones from the dealer are a joke.

The re-build kits here is Japan are around $35- I think from memory?

Toyota part numbers are:

04479-30221 rear 2 pots

04479-50091 LS 4 pots

They come with a small satchel of grease, the rubber seals, rubber bleed cap and line washers.

Chris

EDIT: By the way, that powder coat is epic! I love it. Please take some more pics when it's back together and also fitted please!

Those calipers look sick powder coated. Shoulda have powder coated mine as well.

I just took pictures of my LS4 brake kit installed yesterday. Not powder coated just brake paint, Here's the breakdown cost wise $160 for the pair of LS4 drilled & slotted StopTech/Centric Rotors, $90 for Akebono PRO brake pads, $120 for the LS4 Sumitomo Brake Calipers, $6 can of paint. Labor to bleed brakes, cut dust shield and install $150. Total $520

You can see in the pics I have the exact motorsport RCA kit installed, got that done with the brake kit as well.

One question, does it clear 18" wheels on the GS and simple bolt on?

$140 shipped from aliga....yes, I'd recommend rebuilding them before installing...you don't know exactly how many miles on the calipers....last thing you want are frozen pistons...the rebuild kit is inexpensive...and rebuilding is a DIY project....I did it for mines.
