I would look into the AXXIS Ultimate pads. They are very common now-a-days and offer great braking with little brake dust. Some CL members also have the EBC "green stuff" which are pretty good but have much more brake dust... Check out our vendor section for great deals on brake pads and Big Brake Kits...

Have you tried these? How long have they been on your car? Observations?

If you can wait a couple of weeks I'm about to put on Axxis MetalMasters on the rear with new Brembo drilled rotors. I have Axxis Ultimates on the front and they're dusty as hell and squeak at low speeds so I'm changing those too to MetalMasters.

I also have the Ultimates with the same complaints dusty and noisy going with the Deluxe or the Metal Masters also.

Precisely why I went with Deluxe Plus. I use the car for street so I did not need the ultimate level and have to put up with dust and noise. StopTEch actually told me that Ultimates are great street pads, emphasis on street. For racing applications, they still suggest going to racing pads. If I had to do that it I ever want to track the car, I felt I did not need to have Ultimates. I am curious on the Metal Masters though. If I can get better braking with only minor "loss" in noise and dust, I may do it. Endless sounds interesting too but I'm still waiting to see if there are StopTech applications.

The OEM pads are notorious for fading after one or two high speed stops. That would be my last choice.

really, mine have 24k on them and are still very strong. Don't GS430s have bigger brakes than GS400s?

How about EBC green?

GS430 calipers, pads and rotors are the same as the GS300 and GS400 ... and the IS300.

I personally use Mintex pads ... which are also very popular on Europea cars.... low price, but great performance.

I thought they changed something for 2001- or was it just the brake assist addition?

yup, they added brake assist since 01, which is a GREAT addition may i add. but other than that, the calipers are all the same. even for is300 and sc430 i believe. the bracket on the is300 is different though
