Default Size of TT rear calipers over stock

So I've been thinking about upgrading my brakes, and decided on the Supra upgrade mainly because of price. I can't justify spending over 3k on brakes when I truly don't need all that stopping power, just wanna have the power to stop my 20's a lil better.

Well after I sell my current set of wheels, I plan to get some staggered Iforged Aero's, and I was going to get a high disk up front and low disk set up in rear to maximize lip. Will I run into problems with the rear if I use the Supra rear TT caliper. I plan to get a bracket fabbed up by a machinist locally I think. How much bigger is the Supra TT caliper over the stock 1 piston?

if you get the bracket done right, it will still fit behind the stock 17s. the supra rear is also 2 pot like the gs one, so it's pretty much the same size

Yeah, hopefully I can get the rear fabbed up right. I think what it seems like needs to be done is just drill and tap new holes on the caliper, then make a bracket so it will bolt right up.

Even though the Supra is still a two piston like stock, the surface area of the Supra pads are MUCH bigger than the stock GS pads, plus remember the rotor is also an inch larger in diameter than stock. Thus you will benefit from an increased coefficient of friction plus additional brake torque. The caliper itself has a much larger and stronger body, which explains how they can put a much larger pad.

I actually measured the surface area to compare stock GS pads to TT pads, but I am getting ready to drive 400 miles to the Lexus California Speedway race tomorrow, so I gotta sleep now. I'll try to find the specs and post next week, cause I'm going to SEMA this Wednesday as well.

A worthy upgrade if you have the TT fronts already.

Please show pics of the fab, so we can see what is involved with getting these to fit.

BTW ... what brake calipers are you planning to use for the fronts? ... Also Supra TT?
