Default toms 6 piece installed

well got my toms 6 piece today

i did the install which was very straight forward .. having airtools makes all the diff in the owrld .. install took me about 60 mins or so to do by myself.. the scariest thing was when doing the one of the links after taking out the bolt the rear subframe separated from the unibody by about 3 inches or so , all i did was place a jack right underneath the control arm and jack it back into place .. when doing this instal its best to do it backed up on a ramp to keep the subframe and unibody somewhat together

anyway after finishing took it out for some thrills, man all i can say is .. man what a diff it makes in the rear end .. when driving fast over uneven payment the front and rear behave as one .. turn in is much more crisper , cornering is very very tight and now finally perdictable.. Davegs you were right as usual and thanks for the back and forth pm's...

the car now totally feels like a true german high perf sports sedan .. i can say this with authority for i have been a bmw man for many years before coming over to lexus .. my car feels totally planted , connected to the road at all times

for this final mod to the susp i rate it a very very very strong

sure john but make sure to bring reggie as well for round 2 of space mountain ride and i gurantee you will even as the pass notice how much diff the links make .. prior to the links the car handled well very very well in fact but the rear end would tend walk , bobble and dance whereby kinda tries to distort whats going on in front , well 100% gone , perfectly tight and completely together with the front and last night again went out for some solo thrills and man what fun i had ..

congrats on the 6-links! i would recommend them to everyone who wants better control of the notoriously loose GS rear end

if you want to completely eliminate the loose goose rear end i would highly recommend the toms rear brace and a set of coilovers.

i added the 6 links and the rear brace as well as the front brace, sways and front and rear strut bars and the handling improved tremendously, but if pushed hard on an uphill curve, at about 80mph the rear would still start dancing around. once i added the JICMAGIC FLTA-2 coilovers that little problem dissappeared completely. the coilovers are just another part of making this car a dream to drive on a twisty road.

just my 2 cents
