Default Suspension Advice

Hey guys,

So...you may have read my post about my car being cursed this winter...but all for the better, im dumping money into it again.

my sig shows whats been on it, but im gonna clean it up again for spring summer.

I grabbed some used (but mint) 18" Manaray VR-5s for it...very happy about those....i know i know...19s or 20s...but the price was right

So, im goin to Hi Tech ina few weeks to grab a knocky Veilside wing (non exec, to replace my cracked in half stock lex) and Lsport roof spoiler.

I have a win style kit on it right now and want to get new suspension....stock is way cushy and my kit will actually bottom out when i have 4 in the car....not too bad, but enough to bother.

I want to get tein FLEX, i spoke with tein and they said the max ride height is 1.25" below stock all around.
Im nervous, because the WIN kit already pits it pretty close to the ground (for bad bad boston roads). what do you guys thing? im not looking for the lowered look as much as the tighter suspension.

I used to roll civic SI with 5-way tokicos and coilovers....it was great. I want that feel again and no more bottoming out.

Thanks for your advice in advance.

The Flex go alot lower than 1.25", but I think you may have gotten a quote for a spring/shock combo. The flex are coilovers.

The Win kit is pretty low on its own, so you better watch out going TOO low, espicially with 18s!! What wheels do you have on it now?

Just running stocky 17s for the winter
and grabbed the 18s for the spring

its damn low with just the kit.
that 1.25 i quoted was max height ya know? Like 1.25" lower than stock is the highest i can have it.
im more worried about the max height than the min height of the suspension.

Oh I got ya, most coils don't go back up to stock height. usually they are shorter overall, and thats why!!!

To be totally honest you may wanna look into 1 of 2 things, either larger wheels (to jack it up a inch or so) or a diff kit!! because with the Win, 18's and a drop you are gonna a SERIOUS lowryder!! LOL

Good luck man!
