Default Im sold on lowering, now I just need advice!!

Hey guys,

I am totally sold on lowering my car and so far I am deciding between the Vogtlands(1.3 drop), Tanabe ( 1.8), and Eibachs (1.2). In reality I would like to lower the car as much as I can without scraping so it would most likely be the Tanabe's.

My car is riding on stock suspension and my rims are 19 inches. The front is 19X8.5 and my tires are 245/35/19. The rear is 19X10 and my tires are 275/30/19.

Right now the front and the rear gap is 2 inches from the fender to the top of the tire.

Do you guys think I will have any rubbing issues if I go with the Tanabe's? What about the vogtland's? Thanks alot for your help guys. (below is a pic of the gap)

Bryan

BTW this is how the car looks at its current height with 2* negative camber which will be fixed.

Default Springs or coilovers

If your going with springs then I would recommend eibach, but I can almost gurantee you that once you lower it , your going to want more drop.I feel you should look into coilovers(tein cs) they are pricey but worth it in the long run.The reason I suggested eibach is they will give you a good ride with some drop and you can use your stock struts(I have had eibachs on my car with stock struts for 2yrs) I regret getting springs and not going directly to coilovers, it a waste of money because thats what I want now! I have ridden in a 94 gs with tein cs on 19's and it rode better than mine on eibachs and 20's and that car was slammed!! I hope this helps and good luck.BTW- I thought you were done modding?Once you start, you can never stop. You can only take breaks

Hey B, i'm sorry I didnt answer your PM about this last night, I was driving down the highway today and said , I gotta reply to his PM!!

I think you should go with the Tanabe's, the drop rate is measure by what your going to take out of the fender gap!

How are the roads in your area!

I thought I was too, but ever since I test drove a CL members loner IS300, I told myself I could use better handling in mines.

Hey D,

No problem bro! I was wondering why you weren't pm'ing me back.. The roads in my area are fairly good, but I think a 1.8 drop is rather too much so Im leaning towards the vogtlands for the sake of not having to replace the stock shocks just yet.

Trust me man, do the Tanabe's you will get the Vogtland, and then want to be lower and end up cutting them or something. My Intrax settled to about 1.9 and the roads in Mass are good so i was fine, in NYC was a diff story, get that nice low aggressive look to go with the full face of the rim dammit, thank you!

Here I did a little photoshop drop with your ride. I'm sure you don't mind.

DAMN Seize that is Beautiful!!!

I swear Bryan, if you dont order these springs THIS WEEK you are banned!!! Look how the lowering brings out the smooth lines of the car!! That does NOT look a car that was designed in 1992!!!!!

Also, dont worry about your bumper, because the 1st Gen bumper curves upward!!

TMengineering has these springs in stock. Problem is if I get the tanabe's I am forced to get new shocks because my old ones will be toast!

Trust me man there is only 1 type of struts for those cars and its the KYB GR2, (oem replacement), so don't worry about the sruts, plus those things are cheap!! I think I paid 200-225 for all four struts!!

NO MORE EXCUSES!!!!
