Default My observations: 20" Rim ride quality

Now I know all of you thinking about upgrading to large wheels are terribly afraid of ride degragation. Personally, I feel there is bar none difference, except going over bumps. Personally, the only difference i feel is the lack of acceleration because of my huge 20's. They are Giovanna Attack's and they are heavy, but thats the only difference i feel. How do you other guys with large rims feel about ride degragation? I have Stock Suspension BTW!

Blue, you are right man, with stock suspension, there is almost no diff with the 20" wheels, in some cases, i found that the larger wheels dampened OUT some of the smaller ripples!! One thing though, once you upgrade the supsension, you will lose some (or alot depending on what you do) of that cushy ride!!

Here in MA the roads are awful so I defenitely feel the ride quality diminish with my 20's. It's ok because the look is just so nice.

Another factor is the weight of the tires you have. Sometimes people forget that not only are the wheels quite a bit heavier, but so are the tires. In addition to the weight, the size tire you have is at least 1" larger diameter than stock which will effectively change your final drive ratio and have a negative effect on acceleration.

i at one point b4 had 20's with the stock suspension and the ride was fine but i did feel the road more and hear it more aswell do 2 the low profile tire.. so thats what u'r feel and here with larger wheels and stock suspension...i would lower it 4 the look...
