Default Airbags? Experiences anyone?

Well, I love the slammed look of a GS, and I will be dropping it in the near future because of the 20's i'm getting for Christmas. I'm looking at airbags right now because of the adjustable height. At my school, there is no way around the speed bumps, so i can't drop it to the ground with coilovers. Has anyone had any experience with air bags? How they handle? How soft they ride?

Actually, if you plan on putting on 20s on your car, I can tell you that it will be semi-pointless to have airbags on your car. Anything with more than a 2 inch drop will probably cause your wheels to rub anyway and I KNOW that you want to drop it a lot more than just 2 inches.

I am on HKS LS+ coilovers right now and it's on it's max drop which I am guessing to be at around 3 inches, and I am only on 19s. That's why I can tuck the wheels into the fenders in the back. But 20s? No waaaaay.

yeah with 20s you wont' be able to drop the car by whole lot without serious rubbing. synergy he has 20s and HA, and he's not even at max drop already, but his wheels are all tucked. go any lower he would have major rubbing. before you slam your car to the floow the car would literally be sitting on 4 wheels already

I think he knows how low it can go but he wants the ability to raise it up to go over speed bumps and what not.

Default how big are these speed bumps?

dont bag, get your rims, and get some coilovers. last but not least got over the speed bumps slow or at a slight angle. this shouldnt determine if you should spend thousands on your car. peersonall yi think 20s are to big unless you get a body kit?on a side note i saw 14 inch spinner hubcaps at pepboys today it was funny as hell.

yup that's true. if you have 20s and no body kits the car would look so high up, even if you drop it to no finger. it's just the nature of 20s that's 1" higher than spec that makes the car looks high without kits

Its not that i want to have my car sitting on the ground, its that i want to be able to adjust the height of my car if i need to go over a speed bump or somethin

at the top you said you love the look of a slamed gs??? i would say if your set on 20s get the rims first, i doubt it will be low enough to cause problems. if you lower it, just drive it like a lowered car. i think you will be ok. especially with no body kit. an airbag system is a project and costly. if you want the car to go up and down a little then get em. good luck@!
