Default Bilstein PSS Coil-Over Kit

What does anyone know about Bilstein PSS Coil-Over Kits? I was going to buy KYB shocks with Daizen sport springs. The cost was going to be $650.00 for everything, but I can get these Bilstein PSS Coil-Over Kits for $900.00. I figure an extra $250.00 ins't bad and I always here you guys talk about of much better coilovers are over shocks/spring setup.

Check out this pretty informative writeup by Dave GS4. i think that for the price of Spings/shocks these are a GREAT vaue, plus they have a lifetime warranty

Thanks that is a very good write up. So basically there really comfortable slightly aggressive but not really firm for the driver who wants a more stiffer ride. I wonder on comparison how does his GS feel to lets say a AMG or M?

Don't forget I've got just about every aftermarket sway, brace and stiffener made for our cars on my GS (with the exception of the thing that goes across under the back seat, which doesn't sound like it does anything much).

I've driven both M3s and M5s many times on some pretty aggressive test drives (we know a good BMW saleslady that lets us go out to an emply shopping mall and really test out the cars) and my GS easily outhandles them both. The M5 felt floaty compared to my car and wasn't nearly as responsive. I think the new M3 has a much better drivers 'connection' with the steering wheel than my GS does, although the GS still stays flatter in turns and is stiffer. The GS steering (even with L-tuned and my steering pretensioner tightened up) still has a bit of that 'power steering' feel you don't get with the M3.

Both the M's I'm talking about here are bone stock.

As I mentioned in my PM, read down a bit in my writeup... the PSS are stiffer than I originally thought if you live where there are rough roads. Still recommend them.

Thanks very much. Better feel/ride than a M5, thats all I needed to here. I got a friend with one and drove it. Feels real nice compared to my stock GS, so I guess I will do the coilover kit.
