Steve,
please PM me when you are shipping the wheel over there and I will follow up with Tim.

This does two things.

1. It supports a shop that we sponsor locally and maintains their generous donations of raffle prizes for our EOS meets. So I always like to hover over their shop when we give them work, so that they acknowledge all the business we bring them.

2. It allows me to track and oversee the work they are doing for the CL members. This shop has a ton of business, so admittedly they get overwhelmed and customer service can suffer.

Good Luck. I'll probably stop by and talk to Steve this afternoon.

I read all the posts on who can attend and on which day. Sunday seems to be the winner. Weather.com says Saturday will be partly cloudy and Sunday will be sunny too. Since I'd like to give everyone a heads up on scheduling, this is what I propose:

Day: Sunday
Time: 3pm
Location: Tempe
Venue: Bostons/Baha Fresh on University Drive.

I think Tempe is best since it offers a wide variety of backdrops. At 3pm, we should be able eat, talk shop for a bit, and then take photos before the sun starts going down at 5pm. Also, after considering the light conditions throughout the day, it would probably be best to take photos more towards the evening.

The AZHT.net event starts at noon and is also in Tempe so people who are interested in both will have a 3 hour window prior to our mini-meet.

If this sounds like a good idea - let's all plan for it. I will scout out in detail 5-6 locations around the Tempe area and offer them up later today.

Clifford
Sounds like a great plan to me Clifford, maybe you should next offer your services to Bush, they could use a good logistic mind in Washington!

Will do. I'll probably have the wheel out on Monday.

I'm gonna miss the shoot. This animal has TT brakes and a standard spare. I'm currently sourcing a LS400 spare to throw in the trunk but am totally dead right now. I'll let you know when I'm back on the road as well as post a formal introduction. I definitely want to catch up soon.

I can probably do that. Does somebody have a camera with manual controls (and know how to use them)? I have a Canon Elph SD which is fine for stills, not necesarily for motion shots.

I'll probably be heading up there with a buddy or two too so I think it will be good. I'm somewhat new to the valley so to catch up will be cool.

So is the date set for sunday the 14th, or the weekend after? If it's this weekend I'm not sure if I can make it, trying to get over a cold and don't want to get anyone sick. If I can make it though, i'll bring my canon digital rebel xti for some shots!

Boston's is a good place to meet. You can grab a bite if you're hungry and the service is usually pretty good. It's no Houston's, but it's not a insert name here-berrtos either.

Hey,

Opps! I think we forgot about something .... the PF CHANG'S ROCK AND ROLL MARATHON!!!

Downtown Tempe is going to be all screwed up.

Plan B that doesn't involve people cutting through the center of town?

Fellas

What's the game plan? A buddy of mine that attends ASU states: "Don't even think about going into Tempe today with the PF Chang's thing."

Might someplace in Chandler work out better?

I plan on checking out the AZHT thing withs oem friends around 1pm also.

Steve -

I think you might be right. Cliffud and I talked about this last night trying to come up with a plan B. I think many of us were going to check out the show today so we can make alternative plans there.

I took down your cell number and will see you @ the show.
