Hey ,I am not sure what is going on, but I bought a used 1998 lexus es300 seemed in perfect running condition. How check engine light was on this March 2017. So I was told For maintaining the car I should have a complete tune up. Most people wanted an insane price so little . SO I WAITED and ran in too a ma pop type shop who said if I purchased all the stuff the would do the tune up for 120.00 that was a lot better than 1,000.00. Omg. So I drop of car off basically perfect running . Picked up my car aND it was smoking and jumpy and slow and speed of only 35max. Took back was like what's up. They said it was my engine not there fault ok lesson learned. Chepstow maybe not the best, so. No real proof of damage to car definitely by the small shop. I called my regular mechanic. Took up ,diagnosis of a code for transmission -electronic. Not sure if it is fixable for the price or worth it. Has anyone else had or know anything like this or help with topic,. Thanks
