I have Suntek Carbon 20% on all my windows, but I have a tan interior so it looks lighter and legal. Here in South Carolina the limit is 27%. But a car tinting law is only limited to the state in which it is registered, so if I a had Florida plates I could go darker and still drive my car in South Carolina.

This is [legally] true. It won't stop you from getting hassled though. I was driving a relative's tinted car (registered in Florida) around Georgia once and I was pulled over for tint. I didn't get a ticket but the cop told me the tint needed to come off (LOL yea right).
