CL Discord?
Has anyone ever thought about creating a discord server for CL? It would be a more interactive way to chat/post while keeping main discussions to the forum. Just a suggestion.

thanks for the suggestion! We’ve looked at chat services in the past and reviewed their implementation on other auto communities. We decided not to because of two primary reasons.
1) loss of interaction on the forums with a recorded historical q and a. That’s one of the biggest advantages of keeping the conversation in the forums -history, organization and searchability.
2) based on our observations at the time, the chat topics, content and arguments/ disputes often degrade below the professional standards we try to uphold on CL - it’s not something we can effectively moderate.
