I also got the FREE gift card ads. I can't go back to CL unless I retype the url.

Thanks will report asap

wanted to make sure you guys saw IB Jason's suggestion which seems to be working for others

Sorry this is still happening, guys. These rogue ads are a bit tricky to track down since they are routed through multiple companies before they reach our own ad partners.

We're working to isolate their specific source, but in the meantime, there's a way to block them on your browser's end. Chrome has a new feature that specifically stops the loading of rogue ads like this, similar to how the browser has its own built in pop-up blocker. It won't officially roll out for a few months, but you can activate a beta of the new blocker right now by going to the following URL in Chrome on both your phone and desktop, and then selecting "Enable" from the highlighted option: chrome://flags/#enable-framebusting-needs-sameorigin-or-usergesture

Correct, I did that and it was working. When I'm home on Wi-Fi it doesn't happen hmmmm coincidence?

Not sure I quite understand your inference. Can you expand on what you suspect?

Boomin 02-02-18 08:51 AM

First time in a long time this has happened. I've done that enable then everything great. I'm home on Wi-Fi when on CL but went outside and it immediately happened. On t-mobile's network. Just weird

IB Jason 02-02-18 10:09 AM

My apologies that you keep experiencing this issue, Boomin. Can you please confirm that Chrome's built-in blocker is still enabled on your device? When you go to the URL previously shared (chrome://flags/#enable-framebusting-needs-sameorigin-or-usergesture), it should list it as "Enabled" if it is.

Thanks!

Yes it is, I stopped visiting with my cell

IB Jason 02-12-18 12:56 PM

Okay, thanks. We're currently developing a new form of our ad implementation that should resolve these issues. We hope to have it out soon.

I have Verizon with Galaxy phone and I CAN'T use it to visit CL anymore, both Wi-Fi and Mobile. I have done the settings posted above and it seems to get worse.

pop-ups

sha4000 02-15-18 01:18 PM

I get this all the time. I've had to close 4 windows in 1 minute just now.

Moarpower 02-15-18 02:39 PM

Thought it was only me! Yes i only get it on this site.

DaveGS4 02-15-18 02:53 PM

Thanks all, aware of it and it’s rogue advertisers doing this not a virus.

IBs tech team has a solution in testing that hopefully will address the issue. Know it’s terrible

I think Chrome NEW adware blocker fixed it. Since yesterday I don't get these annoying pop-ups anymore.
