How about putting a cap on how many replies a thread can have? For example the post a picture of you and interaccial dating comes up ever so often. However I'm pretty sure no one is going through all those pages every time it resurfaces. Just a suggestion.

No, we won't cap the number of replies. Sorry, but you are incorrect in your assumption... you would be surpised how many new people go through threads top to bottom.

We also have a 'hall of fame' forum that giant long running posts get moved to eventually.
