Wheel Spacers Info
This topic was brought up before, but there was never a clear answer.
I want to buy a pair of 25mm H&R spacers and fit them on the rear of my GS400 with stock 17's.
I think that the design of the H&R spacers allows for safe operation. What do you guys think? Does anyone have these on their car?
I wonder if 25mm will really make a big difference in looks. Does anyone have any pics? I have to keep my 17's but I want the car to look meaner, but not ghetto.
Thanks

The spacers come in 2 sizes:
15mm and 25mm.
This measures how far it will make the wheel stick out.
By using the 25mm spacers, total track should increase by 50mm

Before you do this, you should see if there is 1" of room betweet the tire and the wheel well......1" = 25.4 mm. It was discused before on an SC430 and they decided it was not worth it. I would suggest getting new rims. The bug will keep bitting, just a matter of time till you give in and buy some tight *** rims.

Should be no problem running these as long as you don't do a lot of auto-crossing and even then, I hear that the H&R spacers are top notch quality...
By the way, they WILL fit...

Wassup everyone...
I was just wondering if you had 8.5's in back could you still do spacers??
I can only get 8.5 wide for the rims I want so I was thinking spacers for the back wheels... What size?? 15mm??
I'd really like to see some pics too... Thanx everyone!!

i dont think you should put any spacers on a 8.5in wheel^^^ I think it would look pretty silly with the tires sticking out that much, but some people do have 9.5 in tires so....your call but i think you might look like a getto civic lowered with spaced out 12in daytons.....ok not that bad

BADGS,
I'm with you!! I don't want my wheels to stick out my fender well!! NO NO NO NO!!!!!!
I was just thinking that, if I had an 8.5" wide wheel and then used a 1" spacer (for rear only!)... it be equivalant to having a 9.5" wheel back there!! Right?? Or are there some other factors that I don't know about??
If my thinking is correct, then spacers wouldn't be bad at all. Actually, I was hoping to get 9.5" wide wheels for the rear but they didn't have them in the wheel I wanted!!
I would think more people would use spacers!! Especially if they only had an 8" wide wheel or something.... Why don't more people use them??

Well i can see why you want that look but IMO i dont care for it, BUT EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT TASTE, please to not take that offensively!!! Im not mechanic but i think spacers but more strain on the axle, just makes sence...hit a bump to hard it would be easier to break that is just simple math and common sence, i simply would not take that chance although it probably wouldnt happen, and lexus would not cover that since you used spacers...at least mine wouldnt if they were "ltuned" "trd"

I didn't take offense to it at all. I know exactly where you are coming from!! I don't like how the wheels stick out sometimes of wheel wells...
But with only a 9.5" wide wheel it won't stick out at all!! I know people running 10" wide in back and it doesn't stick out!!...
I'm not really familiar with spacers so I don't know their pro's and con's... I'm finding out slowly but surely!!
Anyone have any experience so they can help here. I'd love to see some pics too if anyone has any!!
