Was a really good video, this guy is very good, I have watched most of his material.

The LC would be my first non-manual sports GT car, so I am also apprehensive, until I drive it, I guess

understand. the auto is so good though, even blipping the revs in sport modes... so the paddle shifters are almost pointless except for fun.

I do like the auto in my LC 500, but I like the dual clutch tranny in my Gen 2 NSX better

What differences do you see on the dual clutch? I am impressed with the LC 10speed. Not trying to defend the LC, I just don't have references on dual clutch so just want to learn from your observation. Thanks!

dual clutch can shift faster and often smoother because it automatically is rev matching the 'next' gear i believe.
having said that the LC's transmission is amazing.

No rev matching with dual clutch (as one gear is always engaged). The beauty of dual clutch is there’s never a loss of power to the wheels. As one clutch is disengaged the other is engaged. Unlike a single clutch where there is a gap in power as the gears are changing.

The newest thing is triple clutch. You can skip two gears while changing without loss of power. Where as dual clutch you generally change from an odd to even (or vice-versa).

I have a gen 1, great car but I find myself not driving it to keep the miles down. I'm hoping for an LC-F convertible or a Gen 2 NSX targa.

Have never related to this... i don't drive my LC a lot either because i don't go to clients in it or other work/errands. But just to keep the miles down, at that point the car is a garage ornament.

Agreed! My personal opinion... Have to enjoy our vehicles now. Makes no sense not driving them, at that point you're just saving it for the next owner.I've owned many vehicle and at the end of the day it really makes no difference if you're possibly thinking of resale value.
Just assuming that's your reasoning... Been there - done that!

I truly believe the "now" enjoyment is priceless.

I'm all for today's automatics. I'm ducking envisioning what's coming my way. lol
Our LC500 auto is fantastic and refined. I feel not as quick as my PDK but great regardless.

I've had my 2021 since September and I'm about to hit 10,000 miles. I like to get on the turnpike at 2 or 3am and go NUTS with nobody around.

I paid cash for mine so I'm keeping her forever and trying to put a million miles on her, literally. When I die someday I don't want there to be a single mile left on her. 😁
